PORTION GUIDE

How Much Caviar Do I Need?

How much you need depends on whether caviar is being served as a tasting, an accompaniment or the main feature of the occasion.

10–15g

Ideal for a tasting or a small accompaniment.

20–30g

A generous individual serving for a more indulgent experience.

50g+

Perfect for sharing between two or more people.

For larger gatherings, allow a little extra so guests can enjoy a second serving.

HOW TO SERVE

Keep It Simple

Caviar is best enjoyed chilled and served with minimal fuss. The flavour and texture should remain the focus.

Serve Chilled

Keep the tin refrigerated until shortly before serving.

Use the Right Spoon

Mother-of-pearl, horn, ceramic or another non-reactive spoon is traditionally preferred.

Keep Accompaniments Simple

Blini, crème fraîche, lightly buttered toast or boiled potatoes can complement caviar without overpowering it.

Enjoy It on Its Own

For the purest tasting experience, try a small spoonful of caviar without accompaniments first.
